We had a number of requests to provide an online giving opportunity.  I wanted to be clear about a couple of things about online giving.  

First, I have not changed our stance on the use of credit cards. I feel that the use of them will in almost all cases lead to debt. And our faith community does not want to in any way contribute to anyone’s debt. We want to help you out of it. (See Financial Peace University tab).    I also know that I can’t stop people from using them. However, in order to establish an account to receive online giving we have to work with the companies that control that method of payment, and they will not allow us to exclude credit card payment.  Isn’t that interesting?

We are accepting DEBIT cards as a method of payment for online giving.  Debit cards do not work unless there is CASH available.  This will keep us from contributing to anyone’s debt load in any way. DEBIT means CASH / CREDIT means CREDIT

I am encouraging you to not put yourself in harm’s way and when you chose to give to imagine this LLC please use a Debit card.
